Mind Ya Biz! Trail Pack Walk

Facilitated On-Leash Trail Pack Walks

10 Canadian dollars
Douglas Taylor Park - Olund Trail|Trans Canada Trail at Page Rd

Service Description

Does your dog have great obedience at home, but it all seems to disappear when you leave the house to go for a walk? These pack walks are for you! The purpose of these pack walks is to apply that obedience in real life scenarios with like-minded owners working towards the same goal. *On these walks there will be NO dog-to-dog interactions.* The purpose of this walk is to practice loose leash walking and obedience in the presence of distractions. Obedience is like a muscle. If we don't use it, we lose it. In this hour-long session, a group of owners and their dogs will be guided down a local trail to practice loose-leash skills around other dogs and like-minded owners. There will be NO loose-leash drills in this session, but we will discuss trail etiquette that allows everyone (people and dogs) to enjoy the outdoors. You will be invited and encouraged to work together to walk respectfully alongside one another as you practice your manners in a pack. This program is great for those working on confidence, anxiety or reactivity - even those just wanting to maintain a solid obedience in a high distraction environment. It provides a great way to meet like-minded dog owners in the community and you will have access to Q&A, guidance, tool and canine education and tips from Ashlin, the Professional Dog Trainer.
