About the event
We are incredibly excited to be collaboratively hosting our first Community Pack Walk in Pitt Meadows.
Hosts: Ashlin, Owner and Dog Trainer of The K9 Mindset Academy & Kim, Owner of Outbound Canine Co.
Special Guest: Andrea from The Good Mutt Photography
We will start in a group presentation setting to discuss engagement, loose-leash walking, tools, advocacy and more. Prepare yourself with questions to ask and be prepared to train on-leash around other dogs. As with all of our pack walks, there are absolutely NO dog-to-dog meetings include nose and bum sniffs. We will be guided by Kim along a beautiful dyke while implementing our training foundations and skills.
Rules:
- Dogs must remain on leash at all times and under physical control
- NO nose-to-nose or bum sniffs (EVEN IF you know each other)
- NO play between dogs
- Space given to others at all times
- Muzzles are strongly recommended for dogs struggling with dog/human reactivity
- Leave your judgement at the door as we are an inclusive group of owners
- Training tools are accepted
- Every dog requires at least one handler
- It is expected you already have a solid foundation and understanding of your dog's body language, ques, triggers and thresholds
What to Bring:
- comfortable footwear

- open mind and positive attitude
